Every rider’s all-new secret weapon, BMC Autodrop provides the first ever fully integrated, automatic dropper post. This revolutionary technology is featured on Fourstroke 01 and enables on-the-fly and squat-free seatpost dropping to push further faster.​

During a race, BMC riders activate Autodrop up to a hundred times allowing them to focus entirely on the track. The peerless technology eliminates the need to squat to lower the saddle with it’s intuitive two-position adjustment, allowing riders to pedal longer before hitting a downhill section. The result? More speed, improved lap times and less fatigue for a race-defining split-second advantage.

Strong and Light

Conventional dropper posts use round elements to be compatible with every frame on the market, leading to performance compromises and excessive weight. Autodrop was developed with the vision of creating the lightest and strongest XC dropper post without having external compatibility dictating the boundaries of shape, size, and material choice.

Streamlined design

Autodrop moves the clamping system and the associated loads to the bottom of the seat tube, allowing our engineers to design a lighter seat tube that forgoes a traditional seat post clamp to eliminate the negative effects of clamping on dropper post functionality. The elliptic shape ensures the saddle is always perfectly aligned. The seat clamp is replaced by a simple dust wiper for improved durability and a clean look while the reduced number of parts improves the system’s performance and durability.

30% stronger than conventional posts

Autodrop‘s elliptic shape reduces the loads on the seat post sliding element by 30%, improving performance and reliability while also allowing us to remove material and save weight. Varying wall thicknesses achieve the perfect balance to deal with rider induced forces and keep the weight at a minimum.

Over 100g lighter than conventional posts

Autodrop is over 100g lighter than a conventional dropper seatpost thanks to the elliptical shape and integrated design. Conventional dropper posts use round elements to be compatible with every frame on the market, leading to performance compromises and excessive weight. Autodrop was developed with the vision of creating the lightest and strongest XC dropper post without having external compatibility dictating the boundaries of shape, size, and material choice.

Adjustable fit

90mm of seat height range offer the perfect fit for every rider. Saddle height adjustments are performed like on conventional systems with four sizes available to ensure the perfect fit.

Small: 655 / 745 mm

Medium: 700 / 790 mm

Large: 740 / 830 mm

Extra Large: 770 / 860 mm
